Understanding your pipeline (New, Quoted, Booked, Completed)
A simple board that shows where every job stands, so nothing gets forgotten.
Your pipeline is a simple board in your BuildMyService App that shows every job and what stage it is at. Think of it as your jobs list, except it keeps itself in order and never lets an enquiry quietly disappear.
The four stages
Every job moves left to right through four stages:
- New is a fresh enquiry you have not quoted yet. Every new lead from your website, calls and messages lands here automatically.
- Quoted is a job you have given a price for and are now waiting to hear back on.
- Booked is a job the customer has said yes to and you have in the diary.
- Completed is a finished job. This is also the point where you press the button to ask for a review.
Why a pipeline beats a notepad
A scribbled list on the van dashboard cannot tell you which quotes are still hanging, or which customer you said you would ring back on Tuesday. The pipeline can. At a glance you can see how many enquiries need a quote, how many quotes are waiting on a decision, and how much work you have booked in. It is the difference between chasing the work and the work slipping away.
It fills itself in
You do not have to create jobs by hand. The second a customer submits your quote form, a new entry appears in the New stage with their details attached. From there, you nudge each job along as things progress: quoted, booked, completed. Moving a job is a quick drag or a tap, covered in its own walkthrough.
What this is not
The pipeline tracks your jobs. It does not book them for you. On your plan you decide what goes where and when, which is exactly how most tradesmen want it. (Booking a job straight into the calendar on its own is a Premium AI feature, and not something happening behind your back here.)
Where to go next
Once you understand the stages, the next step is learning how to move a job through your pipeline, and how to take bookings on your calendar once a customer says yes.
