What your tracking shows you (GA4 in plain English)
Where your visitors come from and which pages turn them into enquiries. We install it and watch it for you.
Behind your website sits a set of tracking tools that quietly record what is happening, so you and we can see what is working. The main one is Google Analytics 4, usually shortened to GA4. You do not have to set any of it up or check it daily. It is there so the numbers are real and so we can keep improving your site based on what the data shows.
What it actually tells you
In plain terms, your tracking answers questions like:
- How many people are visiting your site, and whether that is going up over time.
- Where they come from, for example a Google search, your Google Business Profile, or a social media link.
- Which pages they look at, so you can see which of your services people are most interested in.
- What they do, in particular how many go on to submit a quote form. That is the number that matters most, because that is a real enquiry.
The three tools, briefly
- GA4 records your visitors and your enquiries, as above.
- Google Search Console keeps an eye on how your site appears in Google search and flags any technical issues so they can be fixed before they cost you visibility.
- The Meta Pixel quietly notes who has visited your site, which makes any future Facebook or Instagram advertising far more effective if you ever choose to run it.
What we do
We install all three during your build, wire up the conversion tracking so quote form submissions are counted properly, and keep an eye on the numbers as your site grows. If the data shows something worth acting on, we act on it.
What you do
Nothing is required of you. The tracking runs on its own. If you want to look at your numbers yourself, your launch materials show you where to find them, and you are always welcome to ask us to walk you through what they mean.
The one number to care about
If you only look at one thing, look at enquiries, the quote form submissions. Visitors are nice, but enquiries are the leads that turn into jobs. Everything in your system is built to grow that number.
